It’s that time of the year again, when our rooftops, front yards and gardens are decorated with heavenly snow. It’s a time when our homes echo the angelic Christmas carols and we excite to gather around the kitchen table for mom’s favorite dinner or deserts. As we all plan on celebrating this special season with our families, let us also keep in the mind those in need of our benevolence.
This is the season when our faces glow with the light of heaven and our hearts are uplifted with joyful songs of praise.
This is the season when our willingness to extend gratitude to others is heightened because one redeemer was given unto us.
This Christmas, let us love because our Lord had first loved us. Let us sing because the angels first sung ‘O come all ye faithful’ and ‘Glory to God in the highest and peace unto his people on earth.’
Christmas is the period of humanity’s greatest hope because we remember when our king is born to reign!
Reflections:
The real purpose of teachers, books and teachings is to lead us back to the kingdom of God within ourselves. — Joel Goldsmith
It is in worship that we reach out to touch the hem of Christ’s garment and find that, instead of touching the hem, we are being offered the grace of God by word of mouth and gift of hand.
—John Bell
The mystery, which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
